On Wednesday, 15 October 2014 Muslim Empowerment Fund team of Darul Ihsan Centre provided over 800 hot meals and juice drinks for pupils and teachers at the Bonella Primary School.
Darul Ihsan Centre’s youth wing, ‘Youth of the Ummah’ (‘YOU’) has been hosting educational, spiritual and activity programmes for boys for several years.
Continuing with its education drive to enlighten Muslims on important matters, the Darul Ihsan Social Department held a free short marriage education course titled ‘Made In Heaven’ on 11 October 2014. The programme was well received and encompassed a wide range of discussions pertaining to marriage.
Darul Ihsan Centre conducted a Qurbani programme for the less privileged in surrounding areas and localities of Durban. The purpose of the programme was to bring the atmosphere and sprit of Qurbani to communities who are not generally able to experience it. This also creates the opportunity for community members and volunteers to interact and share the day of Eid with fellow Muslims of different communities.
On Friday 19 September 2014 at approximately 07h30 a fire broke out at the Kennedy Road Informal Settlement in Clare Estate, Durban. The Al-Ihsan Relief Team (AIR) of Darul Ihsan Centre was swiftly on site to assess the damage and evaluate the disaster.

Ulama and scholars from all over KZN attended an informative and educational workshop on the Palestine crisis on Tuesday 19 August 2014 at the Al Falaah College in Durban. Darul Ihsan Centre identified the need for Ulama and educators of our Ummah to be empowered about this important topic as at times due to the lack of proper perspective on the situation the response and reaction to the issue is misdirected.
About 200 youth, including Huffaz, students and Ulama converged at Masjid ut Taqwa in Sea Cow Lake for the ‘Youth Night’ programme - hosted by the ‘Youth of the Ummah’ (‘Y.O.U.’) department of Darul Ihsan Centre on Saturday, 12 July 2014/14 Ramadan.

The Youth of Durban converged at Hartley Road Primary School in Overport for the ‘6-A-Side Soccer Tournament’ hosted by the Darul Ihsan Centre’s ‘Youth of the Ummah’ division on Saturday, 01 March 2014. The youth, who were accompanied by their respective team leaders and Ulama, participated in the arranged football fixture and other development activities.
